The Greenbush Challenge
Ropes Course features more than 30 elements, each
presenting its own unique design and purpose. Through
this adventure-based program, participants will encounter
a series of challenges which increase in difficulty
as they progress through the course.
Low elements and initiatives
allow for individual and group achievement as well as
engaging the entire group in solving problems together.
A series of accessible elements provides opportunities
for people with disabilities and elementary-aged students
to actively use the course.
The high course consists
of eleven events constructed on utility poles at a height
of 30-35 feet above the ground. A pulley system attached
to an overhead cable secures participants using ropes
and other specialized gear. This belay system ensures
safety on the high elements.
- A minimum of 10 people
are required to schedule a day on the ropes course.
More than 15 participants will require an additional
instructor, so group size is recommended between 10-15
or 20-30 people.
-
- Half Day Session
Morning or afternoon sessions
can be provided for student groups. Half day sessions
may be appropriate for younger students as an introduction
to the course and as a lead-up to more difficult challenges.
Likewise, a session consisting of several initiatives
and low elements can be completed satisfactorily during
a 3-4 hour period.
-
- All Day Session
An all day session is
a must for groups wishing to experience the high ropes
course. In order to allow for adequate instruction regarding
equipment and safety, participants need to plan for
an all day adventure.
Custom-designed trainings
with multiple sessions/days can be arranged at an additional
cost
