Dr. Barbara Attivo |
View Photo Barbara holds a doctorate in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in mathematics education from Pennsylvania State University. In the state of Kansas she holds licenses as a classroom teacher, gifted teacher, building level administrator and a supervisor. She has been a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics for 40 years. Over her career has served on program review teams for the National Council of for Accreditation of Teacher Education in Kansas as well as nationally. Little known facts:

Charyll Boggs |
View Photo Mrs. Boggs earned an undergraduate degree in special education from
Emporia State University, a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction
from Kansas State, Administration Certification from Washburn and District
Administration Degree from Pittsburg State.
She brings a wealth of experience in the school improvement process
having taught special education and grades 1-6 for over twenty years and
spending the last 13 as a K-8 and preK-6 building administrator.
Mrs. Boggs has served on the Kansas Staff Development Council’s
Board of Directors for the past several years, serving in the role of
President of the association as well as other roles. One of Charyll’s hobbies is cross stitching Christmas stockings for her grandchildren. One of Charyll’s favorite pastimes is visiting Harrah’s. Charyll’s summer activities include boating and swimming. |
Lisa Henderson | View Photo In 1999, Lisa took the position of Project Director for the University of Kansas School of Education GEAR UP Programs, whose mission is to prepare students, in the Kansas City Kansas School District, for postsecondary education. As Project Director, Lisa oversees a staff of six (6) professionals, and manages a yearly budget of over one million dollars. Under Lisa’s guidance and leadership, the first KU GEAR UP class graduated from F.L. Schlagle High School in May of 2005. Forty-seven percent (47%) of the graduates completed their freshmen year in college in May of 2006. This graduate class earned $900,000 in scholarships.

Anne Marie Hudson | View Photo Anne Marie has a Bachelor degree in elementary education from
Pittsburg State University. She
also has her received her Masters degree in elementary education with a
reading specialist from Pittsburg State University. Mrs. Hudson has taught 3rd, 5th, 6th
and 8th grades. Anne
Marie taught at Fort Leavenworth, KS for 1 year and the rest of her
career was spent in Pittsburg teaching various grade levels.
She designed and implemented the 8th grade reading

Terri Kimball | View Photo Terri graduated from
Ottawa University with a BA in elementary education and holds a MS in
Education Administration from Emporia State University.
She also holds a Central Office certification granted by
Pittsburg State University. Terri has been married
for 21 years to Kevin and has two children.
Whitney is a student at the University of Kansas and Alex is an 8th

Melinda F. Tilley | View Photo Melinda holds a BA in Elementary Education from Benedictine
College and a MAED in Education from Baker University. Melinda has
previously taught middle school mathematics and language arts, as well
as coached volleyball and basketball. During Melinda’s teaching career she was nominated for Who’s
Who Among America’s Teachers and the Presidential Award for Excellence
in Teaching of Mathematics and Science.
Melinda’s husband, Kevin, is a police officer and also an
assistant football coach at Hiawatha High School. They have two children, Bryson, who is 6 and will be in the
first grade, and Madison, who is almost 2.
