Welcome to School Improvement Services!

The focus of School Improvement Services for the 2007-2008 school year will be to assist all SIS member schools to reach and maintain academic excellence and AYP.

Consortium Benefits

Membership to School Improvement Services gives districts access to research-based processes, programs and models, as well as, center and site-based professional development and technical assistance. Benefits for member districts include:

  • Facilitation of the Greenbush Comprehensive Online Needs Assessment

  • Development of a School Improvement Plan for every SIS member building

  • Online Curriculum Alignment Process designed to help schools tightly align curriculum to state standards in the four core areas (reading, mathematics, social studies, and science)

  • District staff may attend center-based professional development sessions at Greenbush and Topeka at $35 per day...a savings of $85 per day.

  • Districts are eligible to receive three days of onsite professional development.* School districts will pay only expenses and materials. SIS encourages that one of these days be a comprehensive staff development planning day. There will be no partial days.

  • GACK© Performance Assessments

  • Just In Time monthly bulletin to help districts and their staff keep up with the latest assessment processes and procedures

School Improvement Services employs quality staff and consultants who have the expertise to provide training, technical assistance and facilitation of processes to support meeting the requirements of No Child Left Behind and Quality Performance Accreditation. Our department collaborates with other Greenbush departments to provide a comprehensive process for collecting and analyzing school, staff and student achievement data; as well as planning, implementing and monitoring processes and tools.
