Mission
To ensure that all children who are deaf or hard of hearing are promptly identified, evaluated, and provided with appropriate intervention services so they may reach their full educational potential and be successful members of their communities. About Us What began in 1980 as one of the pioneer programs at Greenbush has continued to grow and provide quality services to children. Audiology services are provided by four licensed educational audiologists. Each year, approximately 1,500 children from birth to 21 years of age are seen for audiological testing. They are children who have been referred by teachers and related services personnel, physicians, nurses, hospitals, and other community agencies. Testing is performed primarily at our Greenbush facility, as well as in schools and home-based settings. In keeping with our goal of early identification by three months of age and early intervention by six months, audiological evaluation and early intervention services are available in conjunction with early childhood programs serving the Birth to Three population. Approximately 500 infant-toddlers were seen in the past year for testing. Home-based services are provided to families of hearing impaired infants and toddlers, and consist of parent education and audiological support.
