Environmental Compliance The Environmental Compliance Consortium conducts inspections and training to ensure safety at schools. These areas include indoor air quality concerns, asbestos building materials compliance, maintenance and custodial safety issues, and playground equipment safety assurance. The Transportation Compliance Consortium provides training and support to assure safe student transportation. These areas include contracting a provider for drug and alcohol testing, providing CPR/first aid and Driver Improvement Program certification, and keeping the transportation supervisor and mechanic current with latest issues.       Visit Environmental Compliance online. Migrant Education The Migrant Education Program provides supplemental educational services to migrant children and their families. Migrant families travel to and from parts of the United States in search of agricultural or fishing related work which interrupts the educational opportunities of migratory children. Procurement Cooperative Purchasing has been saving schools money since the formation of the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center in 1976. School Improvement Services School Improvement Services offers quality programs, products and customized services which support local school improvement efforts. They include: ?Curriculum target mapping ?Curriculum alignment/review ?Performance-based assessment ?Center-based and site-based professional development ?Leadership training ?QPA training and technical assistance ?Onward to Excellence (OTE) II ?Comprehensive Balanced Literacy       Transportation Consortium The Consortium Inc. is contracted to provide Greenbush Transportation Consortium members with their drug & alcohol testing program. Included in the contract at no additional cost is a personalized alcohol & drug prevention policy & procedures manual, an employee assistance program (EAP), medical review officer services, reporting, & recordkeeping required by DOT regulations. The Consortium Inc. is a branch of the Kansas Mental Health Association. Their EAP is operated by master degree mental health professionals. This service is available to school bus drivers and their families. At a nominal fee a school district can include other employees in this EAP.       Visit Transportation Consortium online. Virtual Prescriptive Learning Virtual Prescriptive Learning provides schools with a very cost effective tool to create individual learning plans and monitor progress. Virtual Prescriptive Learning program consists of Internet-based instructional management system supported by significant core curriculum content for grade levels 1-12.        Visit VPL online. Long Range Planning A comprehensive, district-wide educational plan serves as a roadmap and a clear guide for decision-making, especially in times of crisis and economic uncertainty.
