The KVC Academy provides at-risk students (grades K-12), who have been placed in a residential facility, with a safe and positive learning environment. Positive, therapeutic, and individualized programming is provided for each student. Technology is incorporated into lessons to help students solve problems, learn interactively, share newly formed understandings, and motivate students. This position will include working with students in a residential placement, most of who have social/emotional concerns, instructional planning, behavior management, individual programming, computer use, and will work collaboratively with other staff, including residential personnel with varying degrees of educational background.
