With more than 600 employees, Greenbush Southeast Kansas Education Service Center offers programs to school districts that are otherwise unavailable, unaffordable, or just more effective and efficient through a cooperative effort. At the core of every Greenbush Program is the unyielding belief that every student, regardless of geographic location, deserves equal educational opportunities. The main Greenbush campus, located in just west of Girard, KS, is the site for unique learning facilities including the:

Career opportunities for employees are by no means limited to the Greenbush Campus. In collaboration with school districts and state agencies, Greenbush operates Community Learning Centers and alternative education programs across the state, giving students who have previously dropped out-of-school a second chance to receive a high school diploma. Other contracts with the Social Rehabilitation Services, Department of Corrections, Juvenile Justice Authority, and local school districts insure that all students receive an educational experience leading to a positive and productive lifestyle.

Greenbush recognizes the importance of continued education throughout an employee’s career and offers the Greenbush Education Reimbursement Plan to support employees in their education endeavors. The plan provides an opportunity for any Greenbush employee working at least 1,004 hours per year to be reimbursed up to $1200 per contract year for tuition costs. Employees of Greenbush meeting the hour requirement can apply to participate in the program by completing the Tuition Reimbursement Application Form. In addition, Greenbush offers a Professional License Reimbursement Program, which provides full reimbursement for professional licenses with specific Kansas licensing authorities and other appropriate authorities (a complete list can be provided upon request).

Supporting employees and their families is important to Greenbush. We provide access to exceptional Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance options for all employees who work 20 hours or more a week. Additionally, Greenbush participates in the Kansas Public Retirement System (KPERS) and provides excellent 403B plan options. Teacher

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, Greenbush, is seeking applications for a teacher in a Community Learning Center in Lansing, Kansas.  Greenbush Community Learning Centers (CLC) offer students, 16 years and up, the opportunity to receive a high school diploma through computer based curriculum and instruction. The primary responsibilities of this position include: Strong verbal and written communication, ability to work with students with diverse needs and strong computer skills.  Must be able to promote and participate in teamwork among staff in problem-solving situations and ability to work with the public. Candidates should be knowledgeable in broad curricular content areas.  This position requires flexible hours.  Must have strong marketing and organizational skills.  Must have ability to motivate students. Teacher’s certification/license preferably at the secondary level with two years teaching experience preferred. Salary is based on education and experience. Family Service Coordinator

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, Greenbush, is seeking applications for a Family Service Coordinator with Johnson County Infant Toddler in Overland Park, KS, Infant Toddler Services of Johnson County (ITSJC) serves over 900 children per year birth to age three with developmental delay or disability within the natural environment. The Family Service Coordinator will serve on a transdisciplinary team for families enrolled in the Birth to Three and will provide comprehensive and integrated support as outlined in the Part C Program Manual for Infants/Toddlers in Kansas. Applicants must have a Master’s level degree in Speech Language Pathology or Early Childhood Special Education and should have experience with family service coordination, the evaluation process and must have 2 years of experience with a Part C or Part B program. Team Evaluator

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, Greenbush, is seeking applications for a Team Evaluator with Infant Toddler Services of Johnson County in Overland Park, KS, Infant Toddler Services of Johnson County (ITSJC) serves over 900 children per year birth to age three with developmental delay or disability within the natural environment. The primary responsibilities of this position include completion of a comprehensive team evaluation with children and their families referred to the Birth to Three Program and the completion of Early Childhood Outcomes and communication with families at initial referral and time of discharge. Applicants are required to have a degree in Occupational Therapy or Master’s level degree in Speech Language Pathology. It is deisred that applicants have 2 years of experience with Part C or Part B evaluation process. Salary is based on education and experience. Classroom Teacher

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, Greenbush, is seeking applications for a Classroom Teacher at the KVC Academy, located in Kansas City, KS. The KVC Academy provides at-risk students (grades K-12), who have been placed in a residential facility, with a safe and positive learning environment. Positive, therapeutic, and individualized programming is provided for each student. Technology is incorporated into lessons to help students solve problems, learn interactively, share newly formed understandings, and motivate students. This position will include working with students in a residential placement, most of who have social/emotional concerns, instructional planning, behavior management, individual programming, computer use, and will work collaboratively with other staff, including residential personnel with varying degrees of educational background. The applicant must possess a valid Kansas teaching license, curriculum planning knowledge, the ability to supervise para educators, experience working with children with severe social/emotional needs, the ability to work with a wide variety of academic abilities in levels K-12, and be organized and self-motivated. It is preferred the applicant have licensure in Special Education, preferable in emotional disabilities,  experience in writing of IEP documents, functional assessments, and behavior intervention plans, experience with data collection and behavior techniques, and knowledge of computer use and technology implementation. Special Education Teacher

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, Greenbush, is seeking applications for:  Special education teacher in an accredited high school. This position will provide secondary instruction in regular and special education classes in a small high school.  7 ½ hours per day for a 230 day contract.  Will consider applicants seeking full time or part-time employment. Current Kansas secondary teaching license in special education. Good verbal and written communication skills.  Multiple certifications a plus.

Regional Recruitment Specialist

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, Greenbush is inviting applications for the position of Regional Migrant Recruitment Specialist in the Southeast part of the state of Kansas. The position of Regional Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for assisting with Identification & Recruitment of Migrant qualified families in the Eastern Half of the state. In addition this position will work with agri-businesses in the area in order to identify migrant families, complete Certificates of Eligibility (COEs) and complete necessary data entry into local and state databases.  This position will require extensive travel, strong attention to detail, ability to communicate and work well with a wide-range of people, and a willingness to hold ID&R to adopted state standards.  Salary is commensurate with education and experience starting at $32,500. Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree or experience in migrant education with identification and recruitment (ID&R); experience working with immigrant population is needed. Preferred qualifications include candidates who are bilingual with the initiative to meet and work with a variety of individuals in new situations. The Greenbush Migrant Department is responsible for assisting with Identification & Recruitment of Migrant qualified families in the Eastern Half of the state of Kansas. In addition this department works with agri-businesses in the area in order to identify migrant families. Functional Skills Coach
 
Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, Greenbush, is seeking a person, at each location, to assist inmate/students to learn functional, interactive and vocational skills at the Ellsworth Correctional Facility, Hutchinson Correctional Facility and El Dorado Correctional Facility. Positions available immediately. Competitive salary and excellent benefits.
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business, social service or an education related field. Experience in instructing, counseling, job placement or leading groups preferred.

Speech/Language Pathologist

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center at Greenbush has an opening for a Speech/Language Pathologist with the Southeast Kansas Birth to Three Program . The primary responsibilities of this position include: providing direct and consultative services to children ages birth to three in the child’s natural environment who demonstrate delays in speech and language or with oral-motor/feeding issues. Applicant must hold a Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology and meet certification requirements. Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours. Experience in a special education setting working with infants and toddlers is preferred but not required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Physical Therapist 

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center - Greenbush has an opening for a full time Physical Therapist  with the Southeast Kansas Birth to Three Program based in Parsons.  The successful applicant will provide physical therapy to children in a homebased situation to children ages birth to three.  Travel and flexible hours are required.  Competitive salary based on experience.  Benefit package available.
