Introduction Change. It is everywhere. The School Business is not immune. The latest area of change is energy. The deregulation of natural gas continues to evolve. Electricity will soon follow suit. Deregulation of natural gas provides schools an economic opportunity previously reserved for large industrial and commercial customers. Until now most schools were unable to take maximum advantage of the savings from transport gas. Recent changes in natural gas tariffs and state law pave the way for schools to transport. Greenbush is pioneering a natural gas buying group for Kansas schools. In the future we look to extend this group to include the purchase of electricity.
