Program Description: The Data and Information Systems Group is responsible for the collection and reporting of student survey results, student assessments, and archived indicators compiled from multiple state agencies. Information related to community and school environments are available through Greenbush in the most comprehensive data warehouse in the State of Kansas. Online tools provide easy and efficient access to allow school and community planners to make informed decisions.
Services we offer:
- Custom survey creation
- Survey scanning
- Data aggregation
- Data reporting
- Analysis and Evaluation
How does this benefit schools:
- Enables schools to develop a focus for planning.
- Survey data provides a standardized measure of risk and protective factors and prevalence rates. This data can be used as a baseline for developing measurable outcomes that states and communities choose to target.
- Information from the survey can be used to build public awareness about the extent of problem behaviors and levels of risk and protection. It can help counteract misconceptions and denial about drug and alcohol use and other problem behaviors, and provides all stakeholders with a mutual understanding and foundation upon which to make prevention-planning decisions.
- Data from the student survey satisfies both Quality Performance Accreditation reporting needs and Principles of Effectiveness mandates. It may also be used for QPA School Climate and in monitoring indicator data cited in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Results from this survey also provide reliable and valid measures of student perceptions as mandated by Title IV of the No Child Left Behind Act.
