Measure of Academic Progress

Program Description:
MAP Consortium provides districts with training in the appropriate use of results of the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments developed by NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association).

Services we offer:
Greenbush offers training for schools that are using the MAP Assessment.  Certified trainers are available to educate district staff on:

  • Stepping Stones to Using Data
    • Analyze and learn to interpret data, and engage with other faculty to create an environment responsive to the needs of all students.
  • Climbing the Data Ladder
    • Apply the information from reports to instructional practices and use test results to differentiate instruction, form flexible groups, and develop strategies to meet each student's needs.

Using this information with NWEA assessments, member schools can monitor their students’ progress toward the Kansas proficiency standards.

How does this benefit schools:

  • Monitor student growth over time
  • Diagnose instructional needs
  • Establish and monitor student growth targets
  • Monitor progress toward Kansas standards
  • Hold students, teachers, and schools answerable to the improvement of learning
  • Monitor growth by ethnic and program participants
  • Evaluate program effectiveness
  • Monitor school progress for the AYP component of NCLB
