504 Foundations – Girard

The 504 professional development is designed to assist individuals responsible for the education of students with disabilities. It provides an overview of the requirements and benefits of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, allows staff to review child find and evaluation responsibilities, development and implementation of section 504, and apply learning to scenarios.

Workshop Objectives:

  • To define and understand the foundational elements and the purpose of a 504
  • To learn elements of evaluation and identification of students who require a 504
  • Gain access to form examples and templates that will meet 504 requirements
  • To build capacity with your team and grow in knowledge
