Facilitating Math Learning Opportunities that Require Fluency and Application

Do you ever feel like you are torn between the need for students to be fluent and the ability to apply their math knowledge at a deeper level? This key to this dilemma is procedural fluency which requires students to apply knowledge to new problems efficiently, flexibility and accurately. You will walk away with the skills necessary to use games, routines, worked examples, centers, and strategy instruction to develop rigor in math through purposeful, intentional practice.
