Suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth ages 15-24 in Kansas. To support districts in the yellow ribbonimplementation of SB 323 Jason Flatt Suicide Awareness Act, Greenbush has identified resources for counselors, parents, and teachers. By starting the conversation, knowing the warning signs, and having crisis policies in place, districts can create a comprehensive suicide awareness plan. Greenbush has provided links to resource documents from the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center in the Parent Awareness folder.  Materials for the More than Sad: Suicide Prevention Education for Teachers and Other School Personnel training are found under the More than Sad Training Resources link.
