The effective integration of technology in the classroom is achieved when students and teachers are able to select the appropriate technology tools to help them obtain information in a timely manner, analyze and synthesize that information, and present it. The technology should become an integral part of how the classroom functions – as easily accessible and useful as all other classroom tools.
Greenbush technology integration specialists will assist school districts in the implementation and classroom instructional use of mobile devices for both staff and students. The goal is to support/instruct classroom teachers in the implementation of mobile technologies in their classrooms while providing the technical support necessary to ensure a successful transition for staff and students.
The purpose of the technology integration program is to engage learners by deploying project-based, interdisciplinary, collaborative teaching practices enhanced by digital and multimedia technologies. Professional development will be divided into several areas to include, but not be limited to integration strategies, pedagogy, operational techniques, etc.
- Students shall demonstrate 21st century learning and the effective use of technology
- School leaders create, promote, and sustain a dynamic, digital-age learning culture for all learners
