Our team has a passion for helping people navigate crisis management. We bring a deep understanding of school and community needs to the table due to broad experience and training, including:

  • Working with schools to apply outcome-based processes founded on the National Association of School Psychologists’ PrePare Model.
  • 30 + years of career experience in law enforcement and eight years of managing a 160-bed correctional facility.
  • Graduation from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Academy and FBI National Academy.
  • Various experience serving on community boards, including schools and local government.
  • Emergency Operations Consultant support, including Incident command advisory support, Emergency Operations Center (EOC)/leadership team role clarity, operational-period planning support, situation tracking, Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), stakeholder coordination prompts, and response-to-recovery transition support.
  • Crisis communication support and coordination, including message strategy, communication cadence, audience mapping, staff/family/community update templates, leadership talking points, briefing support, and coordination with the district-designated spokesperson or public information lead.
  • Technical assistance, including remote or on-site assistance with response to workflows, documentation, decision logs, communication tools, and coordination structures.
  • Stakeholder collaboration, including coordination among district leadership, local emergency management, law enforcement, fire/Emergency Medical Services (EMS), public health, community mental health, school board leadership, and other approved partners.
