Central Office Staff Forums for Board Clerks

Some very important duties and tasks are provided by the staff who work in the district office. These tasks are related to the duties of the clerk, personnel or human relations director, purchasing agent, secretary, or some combination of these. This forum consists of four meetings during the school year where office staff from many districts come together to learn and share. The agenda topics are developed by the participants. Regulations, laws, common practices, do’s and don’ts, and personal experiences are shared. Topics are varied and are relevant to the day-to-day situations within school districts. Two forums are held, one at Greenbush and one at the KASB offices in Topeka, to reduce the travel for the participants. Sessions are generally held in the morning and include lunch.
