Project Based Learning & Internship Opportunities
Greenhouse
Special Education Career Readiness Internships (limited availability)
Interns attend the greenhouse regularly to enhance basic social and employability skills, build a resume, and gain work experience, with the goal of preparing them for the workforce. Interns participate in activities from planting and harvesting, to testing water parameters, calculating and mixing nutrients, keeping traceability records, invoicing, and basic customer service.
Horticultural Internships (limited availability)
Interns attend the greenhouse weekly to learn the basic operations of our hydroponic greenhouse through hands-on experience. This could be students looking to fulfill a SAE (supervised agricultural experience) for FFA, or just students interested in horticulture or hydroponics. Interns learn and complete tasks such as planting, harvesting, testing water parameters, calculating and mixing nutrients, keeping traceability record, pest management, and more!
