This workshop-style training is intended for special educators, administrators, classroom teachers, school counselors, and social workers. Participants will experience a combination of diirect instruction, reflection, and hands-on application. Information shared will include strategies for looking deeper, beyond what a child is trying to “get or avoid”, to assess the underlying skills that need to be built, comparisons of how brain-based, skill-focused FBA’s & BSP’s more effectively address the impacts of trauma than traditional models, and a process to include proactive regulation as part of a support plan to help a child become more accessible for intervention.

Participants are encouraged to bring a current Behavior Support Plan to utilize during the event.
